多くの人間は、道路や街が

「誰かの生きる場所の上にある」と実感していません

だから

ただ運転しているだけ

ただ開発しているだけ

という感覚のまま、結果だけが積み重なっていきます。

速さ・効率・経済を最優先にし

動物の命は「考慮されないコスト」になります

"人間にとってどれだけ便利か"で決まるので、

そこにいた動物は後回しにされます

動物達の心を考える人はいるのだろうか

This week, another puma cub was hit by a car in Torres del Paine National Park. A cub from Coirón, a puma known by everyone in the area. A mother that learned to live around people. But the problem is not the pumas. It’s us.

The footage you’re seeing is from last year. This is Dania, carrying her cub after it was hit on the road. I saw this with my own eyes. One day she was caring for her cub. The next day… it was gone. 😞

This is happening more often than it should.

Cubs. Adults. All wildlife. Same roads.

A simple solution exists:

Slow down. Also require to the government new speed bumps in key areas could save wildlife and people (from accidents with large animals like guanacos).

Please, if you go to Patagonia, drive carefully. 🙏
